UDU, DELTA STATE – The Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN) is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary. This landmark event marks ten years of helping young Nigerians find their path in a tough economy.
The three-day celebration will take place from March 10th to 12th, 2026. The venue is the De Elis Event Center, located along the DSC Expressway in Udu, Delta State.Since its start, SWUYN has worked hard to reduce poverty.
The group focuses on giving young people the tools they need to succeed. Over the last decade, they have provided:
* Free Skills Training: Teaching trades like graphic design, catering, and makeup artistry.
* Mentorship: Connecting young graduates with experienced professionals.
* Advocacy: Speaking up for policies that create more jobs for the youth.

Day 2: Skills & Career – Workshops, job fairs, and mentorship sessions.
Day 3: Vision & Gala – Launching new projects and a closing dinner.
The theme, “From Unemployment to Empowerment,” shows that the goal is not just to find jobs, but to help youths create their own opportunities.
“When our youths work, the whole nation wins,” says a member of the planning committee. The group is calling on the government and private business owners to join them in Udu to support this vision.
