WARRI— A somber atmosphere enveloped No. 23 EGC Street, off Deco Road in Warri, today as friends, associates, and well-wishers gathered to offer words of comfort to Mr. Aloko Oroso following the death of his beloved mother, Mrs. Queen Balayei Oroso.
Mrs. Oroso, a devout woman and a proud native of Ayakoromo main town in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, passed away earlier today, June 4, 2023, in Warri, leaving behind a legacy of love, community service, and resilience.
As news of her passing spread, the residence of Aloko Oroso quickly became a sanctuary of shared grief and mutual support. Friends and community leaders took turns offering words of encouragement to the family, urging them to find strength in the remarkable life she lived.
Among the prominent dignitaries present to condole with the family was Comrade Warefa Pereke, the Chief Executive Officer of Izon Times Media.
Speaking during the condolence visit, Comrade Pereke offered deeply moving words of comfort to Aloko and the entire Oroso family. He emphasized that while the loss of a mother is an incomparable pain, her impacts are clearly seen in the lives she touched.
“The loss of a mother is a profound sorrow that words can rarely heal,” Comrade Pereke said. “Mama Queen Balayei Oroso was a pillar of strength, a beacon of grace, not just to her children, but to the entire Ayakoromo community. She lived a life anchored on virtue and selflessness.”
Turning to Aloko, Mr. John Owei, the spokesman for the media team added: “My brother Aloko, look around you. The gathering of friends here today testify to the good name your mother built. Take heart. We stand with you in this dark hour.”
Mr. Seleke Warefa, who led the media delegation said “Mrs. Queen Balayei Oroso will be remembered as a matriarch who dedicated her life to the upbringing of her children and the progress of her community.”
Burial arrangements, according to family sources, will be announced by the Oroso family in due course. Until then, the influx of sympathizers at the Warri residence remains a powerful reminder of the impact she made on everyone who crossed her path.
