On July 30, 2025, a momentous occasion unfolded in the ancient Arogbo-Ijaw (Ibe) Kingdom as His Imperial Majesty, Pere (Barr) Zaccheaus Doubra Egbunu (JP, FCAI, LL.M), Opukutu III, the Agadagba/Paramount Ruler of Arogbo-Ijaw Ibe (Kingdom), Ese-Odo Local Government, Ondo State officially coronated Chief Perekeniboyegha Robert Ofoyeju as the Amadiwei of Agadagba-Obon.

The coronation ceremony was a grand celebration, marking a new era for the people of Agadagba-Obon. According to His Imperial Majesty, this development is a response to the long-standing clamor for traditional representation to handle internal and external issues in Agadagba-Obon. The Amadiwei’s role is crucial in maintaining peace and serving as the eyes and ears of the Agadagba in Agadagba-Obon.

The Agadagba of Arogbo noted that the installation of the Amadiwei was long overdue, as the people of Agadagba-Obon had been eagerly awaiting this moment. The ceremony was filled with jubilation, and royal blessings were offered, ushering in a new dawn for the people of Agadagba-Obon.
