Abuja – The Society For The Welfare of Unemployed Youths Of Nigeria, (SWUYN) has issued a stern warning to individuals impersonating unemployed youths, urging them to desist from such activities immediately.
While speaking to Newsmen in Abuja, Comrade Preye V. Tambou, the National President of the Society For The Welfare of Unemployed Youths Of Nigeria said: “We have come to notice that unscrupulous elements have been masquerading as representatives of our organisation, petitioning, soliciting for funds, support, and recognition from government agencies, corporate organizations, and well-meaning individuals. These groups are NOT affiliated with, nor are they recognized by us. We do not know them, and they do not represent us in any capacity.”
The organization emphasized that it will no longer tolerate impostors claiming to represent the interests of unemployed youths in Nigera. SWUYN stressed that its mission is to genuinely advocate for the welfare and empowerment of unemployed youths, and it will not allow deceitful individuals to undermine its efforts.
Comrade Adewale Ganiyu, the National Secretary SWUYN said : “As a registered non-profit organization with registration number: CAC/IT/85478 and with a clear mission, vision, and objectives focused on empowering unemployed youths in Nigeria, we are committed to transparency, accountability, and integrity in all our dealings. We are therefore advising these impostors to desist from their nefarious activities.”
SWUYN therefore advised the general public, Federal Ministries, Government Agencies, and corporate organizations to be cautious and vigilant, and verify the authenticity and legitimacy of these groups claiming to represent unemployed youths, before engaging with them.
The warning serves as a reminder that SWUYN is committed to transparency, accountability, and authenticity in its representation of unemployed youths.
The organization encourages genuine stakeholders to collaborate with it in addressing the challenges faced by unemployed youths in Nigera. It advised that any transactions, agreements, or commitments entered into with these fake groups are at own risk, and that SWUYN will not be liable for any losses or damages incurred.
