Comrade Victor Warefa has strongly condemned the recent burning down of Akpata Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom by Itsekiri youth. This destructive act, motivated by bitterness over the INEC ward delineation exercise in Warri, is viewed as a barbaric and unacceptable response.
According to him, such actions could potentially breed a fresh crisis in Warri, exacerbating existing tensions and undermining community peace. He emphasize that dialogue and peaceful resolution of disputes are essential in addressing grievances, rather than resorting to violence and destruction.
Comrade Warefa calls on relevant authorities to investigate this incident, hold perpetrators accountable, and take measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future. He also urge all stakeholders to prioritize peaceful coexistence and work towards resolving disputes through constructive dialogue.
This condemnation highlights the need for calm and respectful discourse in addressing community concerns, ensuring that actions taken do not harm others or destabilize the region.
