Divine Intervention Saves Lives: Austin Ozobo, Peretengboro Bibaikefie, and Others Escape Fulani Herdsmen Attack in Delta.

Warri – In a stunning display of divine intervention, Austin Ozobo, Peretengboro Bibaikefie, Isaiah Ingo, and others miraculously escaped an attack by Fulani herdsmen in Delta State, Nigeria.

The group, which included prominent media personalities and community leaders, was traveling along Bomadi – Ohoror road, on a return journey from a burial in Torugbene on Saturday February 22, 2025, when they were ambushed by the armed herdsmen. However, in a remarkable turn of events, they managed to escape the attack, attributing their survival to divine intervention.

Austin Ozobo, a renowned figure in the media industry, has been an advocate for peace and development in the Niger Delta region. He is the CEO of Congress News, and the President of the Ijaw Publishers Forum (IPF). While speaking to Newsmen, Comrade Austin Ozobo said: “I was attacked alongside five others by Fulani herdsmen on the Orhor-Bomadi road on Saturday night in Delta State, Nigeria. I came face-to-face with death, but by God’s mercy, we were rescued. Unfortunately, our phones and money were stolen. In total, we lost eight phones and other valuable items”.

Dr. Peretengboro Bibaikefie, CEO of Iduwini Voice newspaper, on the other hand, has been a vocal advocate for the rights and dignity of the Niger Delta people. He has used his platform as the CEO of Iduwini Voice newspaper to amplify the voices of marginalized communities and promote social justice in the Niger Delta.

This narrow escape is a testament to the power of faith and the unwavering protection of the Almighty. The group’s survival is a beacon of hope and a reminder that even in the face of danger and uncertainty, divine intervention can provide a way out.

The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the community, highlighting the ongoing security challenges faced by residents in the region. An indigine of Agadama community who spoke to Newsmen said that nobody goes unhurt in the hands of these terrorist group. That their survival is only by the finger of God. He also added that recently, some of their youths were captured into the forest and murdered.

However, the miraculous escape of Austin Ozobo, Peretengboro Bibaikefie, and others serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of the role of divine intervention in their lives.

These media personalities therefore call on the Delta State Government to give immediate attention to this area security wise.
