The Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN) has expressed deep sorrow and condolences to the families of victims who lost their lives in the tragic fire incident caused by a fallen diesel tanker in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The devastating incident, which occurred on in Agbor, claimed four lives and left many others injured. The tanker, which was carrying diesel, fell, exploded and engulfed nearby buildings and vehicles in flames, causing widespread destruction and chaos.
In a statement released by the organization, SWUYN described the incident as “heart-wrenching.” The group called on the relevant authorities to take immediate action to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives in this tragic incident,” said Preye V. Tambou, The National President of SWUYN. “Our hearts go out to the families of the victims, and we pray that God grants them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
SWUYN also called on the government to provide adequate support and compensation to the families of the victims and those affected by the incident.
The organization urged the public to remain calm and vigilant, and to report any potential hazards or risks to the authorities to prevent similar incidents from occurring.
As the people of Agbor and Delta State mourn the loss of their loved ones, SWUYN reaffirms its commitment to advocating for the welfare and safety of all Nigerians, particularly the unemployed youths who are often the most vulnerable to such tragedies.
