Delta State, Nigeria – The Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN) is proud to announce its 10th Anniversary and the 2026 National Unemployed Youths Day. This major event will take place from March 10th to 12th, 2026, at the De Ellis Event Centre, along the DSC Expressway in Delta State.

The theme for this year’s program is “From Unemployment to Empowerment: Ten Years of Youth Power Transforming Nations.”

For ten years, the Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria has worked hard to help young people across Nigeria. The group focuses on training, mentorship, and finding jobs for the unemployed. Under the leadership of its National President Comrade Preye V. Tambou, SWUYN has grown from a small group into a national movement.

The upcoming celebration is not just a party; it is a call to action. The group wants to turn March 6th into a permanent National Unemployed Youths Day to keep the focus on creating jobs.

The event at De Ellis Event Centre will be packed with helpful activities:

  • Day 1 (March 10): Opening ceremony and a big talk on how to solve the unemployment crisis in Nigeria.
  • Day 2 (March 11): Skills Training Day. Youths can join free workshops to learn things like:
  • Graphic Design and Digital Skills
  • Makeup Artistry and Catering
  • Soap and Cosmetic Making
  • Bead and Accessories Design
  • Day 3 (March 12): A public rally, awards for top achievers, and the launch of the SWUYN Legacy Project. This project aims to help 30,000 youths over the next five years.

“This event is for every young person who is looking for a chance to grow,” says Comr. Adewale Ganiyu, National Secretary, SWUYN. “When youths work, the whole nation wins.”

SWUYN invites the government, business leaders, and the public to support this mission. Whether you are a graduate looking for work or a leader who wants to help, this is the place to be this March.
