Ekeremor, Bayelsa State – The Tobuyei and Bighebebe families have announced the funeral arrangements for their beloved patriarch, Late Pa. Zimughan Moses Tobuyei, fondly known as “Papa White.” Pa. Tobuyei passed away at the remarkable age of 99.
Born in 1926, his life spanned nearly a century, leaving behind a vast legacy that reaches down to his great-great-grandchildren.
He was a man deeply rooted in his community and faith, known for his wisdom and the large, loving family he built.
Funeral Schedule:
The family has released the following schedule for his burial rites, beginning in Warri and concluding in his ancestral home:
- Tuesday, 27th January, 2026, 4:00 PM: Service of Songs at St. Andrew’s Anglican Cathedral, No. 22 Okere Road, Warri, Delta State.
- Friday, 30th January, 2026, 7:00 AM: Body leaves Warri for his hometown, Amabulou Town, Ekeremor LGA.
- 9:00 AM: Arrival at Poubiri Compound, Bomobiri Quarters, Amabulou Town, Bayelsa State.
- 10:00 AM: Christian Funeral Service (Led by St. Andrew’s Anglican Cathedral).
- 1:00 PM: Interment (Burial).
- 2:00 PM: Reception for guests.
- Sunday, 1st February, 2026, 10:00 AM: Thanksgiving Service at St. Andrew’s Anglican Cathedral, Warri, Delta State.
Papa White’s legacy is carried on by a massive and distinguished family. He is survived by:
- 3 Wives: Mrs. Zeneboerebugha Helen Zimughan, Mrs. Idah Evelyn Zimughan, and Mrs. Stella Zimughan.
- 26 Children: Including prominent figures such as Mr. Femebra Zimoghan and Barr. Fedude Zimughan (SAN).
- Grandchildren: 71 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
